The rules for using I'm Sorry I Lied, including what you may upload, how credits work and what you may do with your sets.

These Terms of Service govern your use of I'm Sorry I Lied (imsorryilied.com, "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use I'm Sorry I Lied.

What I'm Sorry I Lied is

I'm Sorry I Lied is an independent fan tool for the "I'm Sorry I Lied" Halloween photo trend on TikTok. You upload a real childhood Halloween photo and type what the costume was supposed to be. We use two different third-party AI image models to make picture-perfect versions of the photo and put them together with your real photo in the trend's 3-slide format. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, CapCut or any creator of the trend. All names are used only to describe the trend the sets refer to.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it.

What you may upload

You may only upload a photo of yourself as a child, or of a child you are the parent or legal guardian of. When you upload, you confirm that this is the case. You must not upload:

photos of other people's children;
photos of celebrities or public figures;
sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise harmful or unlawful content;
photos you don't have the right to use.

Do not use your sets to deceive people, to impersonate someone or to harass anyone. When you post a set, follow the rules of the platform you post on, including any rules about labelling AI-generated content. We may refuse a photo, remove content or close an account that breaks these rules. The AI image models may also decline some photos.

Credits and payments

Sets are paid for with credits, sold as one-time packs. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
You pay before your set is made. There is no free preview.
Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; sales tax may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
Credits never expire.
If one AI model declines your photo, you still get the version from the other model. If no image comes back at all, the credits for that set go back to your account automatically.
Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

Your sets

Each set has two AI versions of your photo, made by two different third-party AI image models. For each version you get a silent 3-slide 9:16 MP4 video, the AI photo, and the three slides as JPG images in a zip. There is no watermark.
You may download your sets and share them on social media for personal, non-commercial use. Do not use them in a way that suggests endorsement by TikTok, CapCut or any creator of the trend.
The videos are silent and we do not provide any audio. If you add a sound on TikTok or anywhere else, that platform's rules for the sound apply.
Results are AI-generated. They may not look exactly like the child in your photo. If a set doesn't look like you or your child, see our Refund Policy.

Our service

We provide I'm Sorry I Lied "as is". We do our best to keep it running, but we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free or that every set will succeed. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
